Based in London my main passion is gig photography although I have recently branched out and now offer studio shoots having set up my own studio. I have also been known to cover rock n roll weddings, tattoo conventions and some filming.
I have always had an interest in photography and began shooting as a hobby in 2009 and it rapidly began to become one of my biggest loves. Combining it with my passion of music, I am never more alive than when I am shooting a band and capturing moments of them performing their art and immortalizing it in picture form. In 2010 I gained a distinction in City & Guilds level 2 in Photo imaging and have since been invited back as a guest lecturer.
I am freelance but mainly work for the biggest worldwide heavy metal e-zine Metal Rules.com and the worldwide in-print “Devolution magazine”. During my years with these magazines I have also conducted interviews with the bands and reviewed many gigs. My photos are also featured in various e-zines including The Independent Voice, Metal mouth, Planet Mosh, strictly Bloodstock, Terrorizer website, Get Ready to Rock. My work can also be seen on websites such as Dean Guitars, Jackson Guitars, Rotosound strings as well as shop fronts, album covers, gig flyers and various band promos.
Having photographed big touring bands such as Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Slayer, Machine Head to the more underground and local bands from London. I have covered more than 1k+ bands, with that figure increasing each week. My favorite time of the year is festival season - I have attended/photographed and reviewed many major UK festivals in the shape of Download, Sonisphere, Bloodstock Open Air and Hammerfest.
For my equipment I use the Canon 5D mkiii with the Canon 7D as my second body. I have an array of lenses ranging from canon 17-55mm 2.8 to canon L70-200mm 2.8. I also use Bowens studio lights.
To sum up, I’m totally devoted and keen to push myself further and reach whatever goals I can with photography.
Hope to see you in the pit!
